Rocking the Clearance Cart at Joann

At our last trip to Joann Fabric my seven year old daughter begged to dig through the clearance cart. Have I created a monster or is this a sign of good parenting? Honestly, I find myself asking this very question often. :)

So we dig...and dig...and dig!

Here are our discoveries:

A couple flip books and an album kit all from the Teresa Collins line

Some of this stuff can definitely be used together to make something awesome. I haven't figured it out exactly but it's going to be great, I'm sure.  ;)

To celebrate our summer vacation to Myrtle Beach, I found a "take me to the beach" frame by Malden International and some beach themed scrapbooking embellishments by Paper House Productions

Now, I've got to get some vacation pics printed.

Cast iron hooks. I was so excited I bought two "A"s and two "J"s!

Ignore the spackled holes in the wall. Apparently, three year olds shouldn't hang from towel bars. My lovely husband hung these new towel hooks in the wall studs instead of just the drywall. Sturdier but hopefully the kids have outgrown hanging from the towels.  I love these hooks so much that I bought two sets. One for the kid's towels in the bathroom and one for their jackets by the front door.

I can't wait to get the other hooks up, paint the bathroom, hang up some vacation pictures and embellish some new photo albums. Nothing like the clearance cart to inspire and motivate!
